Maranatha! Worldwide prayer wave for the return of Jesus Christ

In addition to every morning's prayer call "Maranatha!" prayer requests are to be collected: for the cities and regions of the participants and for certain ministries and services aiming to reach out to the non-Christians or to prepare and build up the believers for service: churches to found, bible schools and seminaries, Christian bookshops, mission stations, youth encounters, etc. etc.

To each participant at least one of these projects shall be assigned: to choose by kind of project and by geographical criteria (same region, town of comparable size or infrastructure, partnering town, somewhere else on the same degree of longitude or latitude, or at the possibly exactly opposite point of the world). We also aim to assign one request from Israel to each participant.

From this may grow local contacts as well as informal networks between similar and complementary projects or between materially 'poor' and 'rich' churches, in order to sharpen and broaden our vision of the world around us.

But especially we will see that prayer will change things - in the fields we are praying for as well as in ourselves, in our ways of thinking and our circumstances, in our churches and our surroundings.

Reports on prayer effects and changes - local, regional, in church, and personal - shall be collected and published in order to encourage all participants to keep in pace.
